Mr. Houk brings a diverse background of project management and business development experience established in the field of lightweight tensile structures. As the general manager of building systems divisions for major US Corporations, he was instrumental in the development of the fabric building systems utilized on projects such as the Pontiac Silverdome, BC Stadium in Vancouver, and the Haj Terminal in Jedda, Saudia Arabia.
During Mr. Houk's educational training in architecture at the University of Illinois, he received several design awards including the Edward C. Earl Prize and was selected for extended study at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, France. His thesis work focused on tensile structures, and interest in this field led to positions offering extensive experience in design development and construction management.
Serving as the Managing Partner, Mr. Houk is able to utilize his experience by directing the Firms' marketing efforts into areas that best suit client needs and fulfill the Firms' long range professional goals. He is also extensively involved in the day to day operations of the Firm, coordinating available resources to insure client budgets and schedules are successfully and professionally achieved.
